2009-10 50+, 55+, and 60+ Winter Leagues

Registration for 50+, 55+, and 60+ teams for the 2009-2010 season opened on October 14th and will close November 19th. Fee is $695 per team. Players must be 50, 55, or 60 by December 31, 2010.

50+ games begin Sunday December 6th at Wood Middle School in Rockville.
55+ games begin Wednesday December 16th at Wood Middle School.
60+ games begin Monday December 7th at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center in Rockville.

Individual players who do not have a team should email their contact information, age, height and position to seniorhoops@yahoo.com . A list of these free-agent players will be sent to team managers before the start of the season.

65+ league

For those who want to play in the Sunday morning 65+ league at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center, the deadline for registering with MCSSA is Friday November 6. See on the 65+ Registration form below for instructions.

This is a draft league. Team managers will meet in November with the Commissioner to draw up competitive teams from the list of players who have registered. Last year, there were five teams. The cost is $85 per player. Games begin Sunday December 6th.

All senior basketball league games are played with professional officials, a timekeeper, and a scorekeeper.

Pick-up Basketball at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center

There is pick-up basketball every Tuesday and Thursday at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for seniors, from September until June (the county School Year). We ask everyone who attends to please bring both a white shirt and a dark shirt, or a reversible shirt with you.

The 65+ schedule is circulated among the five teams. They play Sundays at 9:30 and 10:30 am at Bauer Community Center.
